Mar 06, 2022 --On February 2, Alan was at the workplace when his colleagues dialed 911. Officers Michael Schurch and Michael Meinzer, familiar with Alan, swiftly responded. Schurch recounted finding Alan conscious initially but quickly deteriorating. CPR and AED employment revived Alan temporarily, before he relapsed, necessitating another shock. Transported to Sioux Falls, Alan recuperated and now has a pacemaker. His prior heart attack contributed to the recent episode. The incident spurred Southeast Farmers Coop to equip all its sites with AEDs, scheduled for installation by early April. Safety Director Larry Bork emphasized the significance of this decision, propelled by Alan's rescue, stressing the lifesaving potential of CPR and AED interventions.
