Dec 01, 2018 -- A man who was trying to cross the street was struck by a car on Lambert Lind Highway. The driver immediately stopped to call 911 said the police officers who were on the scene. Officers who responded to an emergency call that Friday morning identified the victim as 68-year-old David J. Quinn. He was found lying on the street without pulse and with a head injury. The officers immediately performed CPR on the elderly man who was later brought to Rhode Island Hospital but declared critical.
Nov 11, 2016 -- It was a regular gym day for Sgt. Christopher Lefort when he noticed another gym worker suddenly going down, his body laying lifeless on the floor. The police officer quickly called jumped into action by telling a nearby employer to call for 911, he then began administering CPR to the dying man until paramedics arrived and assisted him. The victim is successfully recovering at the nearest medical center.
